Love Letter Writing Tips
When writing a love letter, remember that your loved one is going to appreciate it because you
took the time to try to express your feelings for them. If all he or she can do is critic it, they aren’t
deserving. If however, your special someone gets excited when you express your love in new
ways, here are some great tips.
- Have a loving beginning. Start with something like; Dear sunshine, To my love, To the one
who stole my heart, etc. A tip for guys: write a girls first and middle name. Some girls find
that they love that, but people don’t use it often. However, be careful to a sensitivity to
middle names!
- Write why you decided to write. (Because you couldn’t stop thinking about them, because
you wanted to try to express your love, etc.)
- Write what you are feeling. Try pointing out some things you love about them, how
wonderful they make you feel, how much you wish you could hold them, etc.
- Be creative. If you cant think of any expressive words besides love, beautiful, and miss
you, try looking up some synonyms to those words. Instead of writing “I love you
because…” try “You are irresistible to me every time you...”
